Outlook 2007 not getting new mail?
I'm got a computer running Windows 10 with Microsoft office 2007, it was receiving mail fine until about the middle of February and then it suddenly stopped.
When you click "Send / Receive" it completes without any error but no new mail is downloaded from the server. I can login to webmail through Comcast's web site and I see all the mail that's should be downloading to the Inbox folder but for some reason it isn't. I've verified the Pop3 and SMTP server settings and they are the same as what I use on my own computer with Outlook 2010. I've run ScanPst on the Pst file multiple times until it says "No errors were detected" and still Outlook won't download new email. Anyone seen this problem? Have any idea's how to fix it? |

Any AV settings that might block the incoming mails?

Outlook 2007 not getting new mail?
Same anti-virus (Eset) that's been used for years, one day emails just stopped. They're sitting there on the server, if the anti-virus was blocking something I would expect a Send / Receive error but no error and Send / Receive completes successfully but no new mail is brought down.
My next step is to delete the profile and recreate it but it's such a nuisance but it's the only thing I haven't tried. |

Norm,
Could it be that it requires a secure connection? That you have to tick an option for that in the email settings? john |

John: Since most ISP's have been switching their preferred connection type to secure I've been setting all email accounts on all computers to use SSL for years now so Yes this problem computer was setup to use SSL according to Comcasts own documentation on their settings. |

Outlook 2007 not getting new mail?
As I mentioned in a previous post, as a last resort I backed up my Outlook data file and deleted the profile and recreated it. After that mail started being received normally. Don't know what the problem was or why the old profile was having that problem.
