Default Panicking: lost (all?) my contact notes

Hello,

When looking for my own passport number which was stored in my own outlook contact entry, I found that its CONTACT NOTE had been deleted - not the NOTE item in outlook itself, just in the contacts!

Same with some others that I checked.
Around 50 - as I found during an update search.

Every night I automatically sync my outlook file with 2 external hard disk.

No solution: they miss the CONTACT NOTES information as well.
And even the .pst version I had stored in my safe misses the contact notes.
Same goes for OLDER .pst versions, from 2017 and 2015

Question 1 > How come?
The mail and calendar info in each (older) .pst is different from the newest version. But it seems the CONTACT list is totally the same.

Is there still an 'old' contact list to be found? Where???

Question 2 >IF I am so lucky to find an older version with (older) contact notes, how can I merge those notes (and the notes alone!) with the current other contact details in my current outlook.pst file?
Is there a trick to let the computer do it?
It wouldn't be fun if I have to copy/paste each note 1 by 1 from the old .pst entry to the same one in the current .pst version...

Thanks for your suggestions!

Regards,
Wim

Hi Wim,
1> no ideas sorry. Curious though!
2> If you have a lot to copy, building a macro would be faster. It could open the first item with notes in folder1 check phone number and email address for example and step thru your current contact items to locate the one with matching properties and then copy the notes there, then open the second item and so on.

regards,
John
