Horizontal lines won't insert into full margins set in a doc.
I am trying to insert horizontal lines in word 2007 and sometimes they only insert a partial line, not from the left margin to the full end of the right margin. Also when I get the partial horizontal line it won't let me delete it.
On top of all that aggravation it sometimes fills in an automatic border. I have gone into Word Options to the Auto Format tab and made sure that Border lines is not checked. I am coming to the conclusion that this technology is very flawed. |

Please be more specific. What technique are you using to insert the line?
And when does it fill in an automatic border. have you turned on Show/Hide to see if there are non-printing characters in the way of your border? |

Horizontal Line problem
Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. I was trying to insert Horizontal lines in a document and sometimes only partial lines appeared. I deleted those and switched to inserting bottom borders and this has worked for me. I
When I was having that problem with horizontal lines I turned on the paragraph marks to see if I need to delete any other marks which I did but it still would not work even if I moved the margins back out which sometimes move on me without me having changed them. I have Vista and don't know why this happens but I am not an expert and that is why I hope to find this forum helpful. Thanks for your concern! |
