Default Lost junk mail

I am using Office 2000 and my problem is with spam. I have never created a junk FOLDER but often mark items as junk and delete them. However I have marked a message which was not junk and cannot trace it or undo the error. How do I track this item and undo my mistake.

I don't remember how version 2000 did it, but later versions make a folder called Junk for you. Your item is likely either in the Junk folder or the Deleted folder, unless you permanently deleted it.

Thanks for your rapid reply to my problem, you may be right they are just moved to the deleted folder as I do not have a "Junk" folder. This does of course beg the question as to where to look when a company says you need to review your spam folder to see if our reply has been blocked. This could happen to a new contact which I haven't marked as spam of course. Is there somewhere on the server perhaps where these items reside?
