Give this a try and see how it goes. Method 1 or 2.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/...ing-in-outlook does the error appear in Outlook or in the Firefox browser? |

Hi Belinda,
I looked at your Link but the solutions are for InternetExplorer only...? The error comes when I open an email received with Outlook 2007 and click on a link in the body of the mail. |

Install the easy fix option in Method 1 and see if that helps - this is a Windows based fix.
Can you upload a screen shot of the error? |

I tried easy fix and got:
This easy fix does not apply to the version of your operating system or application. (I have Windows 10 pro, version 1709) I only have a screenshot on local PC look at attached files |

Oh ok. Your profile says you have Windows 8.
Let's try a different approach and try running a repair on Office. Right mouse click on the Start button and choose Settings. Then click the Apps icon. On the right-hand side will be Programs and Features - click that link. Scroll through the list of installed programs till you find your version of Microsoft Office. Select it and click Change. You will be offered the options to either run a Quick Repair or Online Repair. You can try the Quick option first or just go ahead and run the full Online Repair. Restart your computer once it completes and try the links again. |

I have changed my profile now...
Tahnks for your messages!!! I remind of a repair process of MSOffice in the last days of the last year and I think now that the described error comes after that repairing...! So the Office should be up to date. I wrote that I haven't IExplorer, my standard browser is Firefox (57.0.4, 64Bit). How can I try the mentioned links? Regards - Dietrich |

The error you are getting is related to Outlook and not your web browser.
The error message dialogue box shows Microsoft Office Outlook in the title bar section so that indicates the issue is part of Outlook. The repair I mentioned above is not related to updating Office but is related to fixing any problems you are having with the programs. That would be my next suggestion at this stage other than trying an uninstall and reinstall of the entire MS Office program. |
