Outlook 2016 - Text margins squeezed in long message threads

(1) Text margins in a long message thread are "necked down" (compressed) over the first several pages into 1 character's width, centered on a page -- what copies into a 9-page Word document would print 106 pages queued directly from Outlook.


(2) Have found nothing obvious in printer settings, nor does this occur in Word documents or other messages, only extended mail threads.
