Default Message Pane Settings

This is driving me absolutely crazy. I've searched, for hours. I have 2 computers with Outlook 2016. One of the settings got changed and it doesn't give me the option to sort by date anymore. This picture is a screen capture of the two different settings. I want to be able to sort from the main screen without having to go in the settings.
