Default Outlook: does anyone know if I can I keep calendar alerts but disable email alerts?

Hi guys

I use Outlook for my emails and calendar. I would like your help with something.

I like to turn off my Outlook in order to help me concentrate at work; I don't like the email pop-ups and I don't like seeing that little envelope in the taskbar icon. My problem is that I then end up missing appointments, because I don't get my calendar updates, because I have turned off Outlook.

Is there any way I can have the Calendar notifications on, but the email off?

Best

Bill
