Default How do you combine two contact folders?

I had my outlook data on another computer and imported it from there to this computer. For some reason all of my contacts lost their state and zip in the transition. A few weeks later I ended up importing and exporting again and all the data came in a new contacts folder. I need help with one of two solutions.
1) How can I get the state and zip to show up in the original folder?
2) How could I merge the two folders and have all the contacts in the second folder overwrite any duplicate contacts in the first folder?

I need to use the first folder because I have about 500 new contacts that I had put in prior to getting the second folder in there.
