How to Change the Speed Emails are Forwarded
I currently have an email from a sender that auto-forwards. It currently takes 20 minutes for the recipient to receive it. I want to decrease the amount of time it takes for the person to receive it. I tried changing the mail send and receive frequency thinking that would help It made no difference. How can I achieve this? |

If it is forwarded by a rule then, the rule does not come into play until the message arrives in the inbox and the message so created doesn't get sent until the next time messages are sent from the outbox, which almost certainly will not be in the same send/receive cycle. Any delays after the message has left the outbox are out of your control. You could try changing Outlook's settings to send messages immediately, but you may not want that for all messages.
It's 20 minutes. Is that worth worrying about?

Thanks gmayor. I tried changing the mail send and receive frequency thinking that would help it made no difference.
Does anyone know of any other ways to do this? gmayor. It absolutely is worth worry about. It keeps a team of people up 20 minutes later at night waiting before they can deliver their finished product every night. |
