Default outlook versus outlook express

after over a decade of using Outlook Express, I had to get a new computer and it had Windows 7. Of course Express is gone so I had to start using Outlook. Years ago I considered Outlook and backed out and went back to Express. It's just not as good. Now I am stuck. I even considered returning this new computer and ordering one with Express, but I can't wait. My other computer crashed.

I know there are others out there who hate Outlook and wonder why MS is so stupid as to keep making what they think are improvements and they keep making things worse, like Vista, then 7 - neither is better than XP.

But can't we get a movement to make Outlook as good as Express - simple easy, less crowded (Outlook has all the folders and words crammed together like a bad book printing)? Every time I turn around, there's some other feature that's worse. I can better help by Googling answers to Outlook questions than I can by using Outlook help. I never used Express help because it's a more user friendly environment. You know - like a Mac.
