I have been spared many embarrassments from sending first to outbox and then final send, which I could do for all outgoing emails in older Outlook, in effect a double-click. I cannot seem to be able to set this up in the 2016 version, which allows time delays but not a required rule to send first to outbox. Can anyone help with this? or maybe no one else does this so they wrote it out of the software. Thanks for your help!

File Tab > Options > Advanced > Send and Receive > Uncheck the option to send immediately when connected.
You might also want to select the Send/Receive Tab > Send/Receive Groups > Define Send/Receive Groups and uncheck the three automatic send/receive options. Outlook will then only send the messages when you click Send/Receive All.
