Having Folders in Outlook is causing me not to receive all email on my mobile device
I have set up Outlook on my home PC to connect to my comcast.net email account. I also have my email on my android phone connected to my comcast.net email.
I am seeing some things I don't like. It was recommended that I use imap, that way all places will sync up. I think this is a mistake.
I have created folders in Outlook and set up rules to that emails from certain people and places get automatically put in these folders. I was surprised when I logged into Comcast directly and saw that those folders were there! I assume that is what imap does. That is fine, but on my phone, it did not create these folders (perhaps a limitation of the email app?). I see that a lot of the email that automatically gets put into the folders via the rules I set up on my desktop, do not get sent to my phone!
I don't like this. Should I go back to using pop3? Any other advice I am not thinking of?
Also, my sent items are being deleted. I changed the folder setting so that they do not automatically delete, but something is deleting them.
