Upgrade to color categories won't hold

I have been using color categories in Outlook 2007 Contacts for years. For some unknown reason, everytime I close Outlook and re-open, the color categories are gone.



I can go to the Properties of the Personal Files folder and "Upgrade to color categories" and they all come back in my existing contacts and as an option for creating a new contact. But once I close and re-open Outlook, they are gone again.

Any help would be appreciated.
