Question Archiving Data Files

Hello everyone,

1. Once upon a time I created my own data file (personal folder). During several years I moved most of messages from my MailBox to the file.
2. I never used auto archiving for it.
3. I archived it manually (File > Archive...) to save in a different personal folder file.
4. The archive was created normally.

But the old messages that were moved to the archive were not removed from my folder.

I think it would work OK, if I archive Outlook MailBox folders. But for my personal folder it failed.

I have just one wild guess: the mail box has by default a folder for deleted items, while personal folders miss it. But I am not sure it is the reason.

Please help!

Vlad
