'Reply' Problem with outlook.com account
Hi everyone!
I have a problem with outlook that is driving me nuts! I have 4 accounts currently in outlook, 2 google accounts, one POP3 and an outlook.com account. For some reason, when I add my outlook.com account, whenever I reply to an email in any of my other accounts it sets my outlook.com address as the default reply address. I can manually change it, but I have no idea why it defaults to the outlook.com account. Then when I delete the account off Outlook, the issue disappears, all the accounts use their accounts as the default 'reply' address. Does anyone have any clue why this happens and how to fix it? I can't seem to see anyone on the web having the same problem which is very frustrating. Any help would be super appreciated! Thank you David from Melbourne Australia |

If you are only using the Outlook.com account for e-mail and not for its contacts and calendar then setup Outlook to access it via IMAP or POP. Then it should behave like any other POP or IMAP account.

Hi gmayor, thanks for your reply! Yes unfortunately that's one of the main reasons why I use outlook.com is for the contacts feature. Any idea how to get around it without changing it to a standard IMAP?

I don't use it myself, and I may be mistaken, but I think it may be a feature of Exchange account access that it takes priority.
Why not export your contacts and import them into Outlook?
