how to find specific mails in the Deleted Items
In my Deleted Folder, I type in Facebook. Instead of giving me just the Facebook items, it gives me one here and there with everything in between. Is there a way to bring up just Facebook items instead of other mail mixed with it? Of course, this refers to any particular mail I bring up in the Deleted Folder. |

Hi Andoheb,
In your Outlook Deleted Items folder, it contains every folder’s emails after they are deleted. The best way to find any particular email from the Deleted Items folder, you need to type in the related keyword of that email content. Like, you can type in the subject line content of an email and hit the enter key to make them appear in the Deleted folder. See the screen shot for reference. Thanks & Regards Anjlua |

Thanks for the reply. Typing in a particular name, e.g. Richard Warprdrive will bring up Richard Warpdrive then suddenly and without any warning whatsoever, another name will pop up there in the list.
I'm learning Outlook will bring up other emails with that particular name in it that might have been from someone else. I'm also learning that Outlook is geared this way and seemingly no way to overcome it unless you have something else in mind. If so, please say on. Thanks! |

Hi Andoheb,
Can you please be more specific on what exact error you're getting while trying to search specific names from deleted folder? To assist you better, can you share the screen shot? Thanks & Regards Anjlua |

how to find specific mails in the Deleted Items
There are no errors whatsoever. A screen shot will not really help that much. Here's the general drift.
Let's say I type a name in the search of the Deleted Folder. This name might be "Larry Button." So when I type in this name in the Search, I'll get something like the following. Larry Button Larry Button Larry Button Wilma Vacuum Larry Button Larry Button Brian Marshmellow Larry Button ----------------- Instead of giving me just "Larry Button" I get an assorted mix. My question therefore remains, why will not just the name I type in the Search come up just with just that name. I'm being told that Microsoft has made it that if "Larry Button" is mentioned by Wilma Vacuum or Brian Marshmellow, then their names are going to be pulled up also. If that is indeed the case, it's too bad Microsoft has geared it that way. Oh, I realize they will have their reasons for doing that but still, the name I type into that Search should come up with only that name UNLESS there is a way to do it that I still do not see. I've tried the Search Tools in Outlook 2013 (going to Advanced Find / Advanced but that still does not do what I'm wanting. If you have something else in mind, please send it this way. |

Hi Andoheb,
In this situation I've something in my mind. Why don’t you just try searching by proving email address of that particular person? Do these things: Start Outlook >> open up Deleted Items folder Click on Arranged By and select E-mail Account And now under the search box, type in email address of the particular person and hit the enter key to proceed. Same name can exist for more than one person but the email address cannot. So I would recommend you to try the above steps, I hope it’ll work for you. Thanks & Regards, Anjlua |

Thank you Anjlua for the effort. I'm not sure what version of Outlook you're using but it does not coincide with what I have here. Therefore I am unable to find "Click on Arranged By and select E-mail Account" so have to leave it with "by date" although I have tried "from" and others in the list.
At first, I thought you had it. But after trying it on a few names, it still brought up two others that I was not searching for. It took part of the name and then ending of another email address and therefore mixed the names up again. Good try though & overall, I'd say what you have suggested works better than other ways I have tried. Thanks again for your efforts and help. |
