Mark, is this what you are looking for?:
Tools/ Options/Mail Set Up Tab and remove tick from "Send Immediately when connected" box.

No, that's not it.

There was an ability to set the # minutes for the delay after you hit the Send/Receive button.

From Outlook Help "Setting the Send Time"
  1. In the message, on the Options tab, in the More Options group, click Delay Delivery .
  2. Click Message Options.
  3. Under Delivery options, select the Do not deliver before check box, and then click the delivery date and time that you want.
Note: where you find this Option Tab: in the message you are writing

Isn't that message option only for that particular email message? I know that I had set a delay setting for ALL emails (unless setting the delay on one message sets the delay for that message and all future messages?).

My purpose for the delay is to allow for the time when you hit the send button and then realize the email should not have been sent--and then it's too late unless the email is just sitting in the outbox for 'n' minutes.
