Unhappy Meeting scheduling - what rooms are available

I've asked around a bit on this, but it doesn't seem like Outlook/Exchange has a way (without 3rd party tools) to let me see a list of available Room resources for my meeting time (when scheduling a meeting). Even a MS tips page talks about adding all the rooms as resources, looking for a free one, then deleting those I don't want. Am I crazy? Why doesn't Outlook show the availability of the room resources? All the info is available on the exchange server. Can anyone suggest a better alternative? If not via MS, what 3rd party (enterprise scale) solution do you recommend?

Thanks,

Jason
