Question Recurring Appointments - Trouble tracking weekly accept/decline

I work remote, but connected to my company's exchange server. I run Win XP and Outlook 2007.

I am having issues with Appointment Tracking (accept, decline...) for recurring appointments. When scheduling these appointments, after the initial accept/decline/tentative is sent from the original invite the tracking status does not change for that occurrence if someone declines for that specific occurrence.

For example, I have a recurring weekly meeting with my team for which everyone has Accepted the invite. Sometimes a team member cannot attend an instance and they open the single occurrence and Decline. This does not update my tracking status for that person for that meeting and we sometimes spend time waiting for people to show up/dial in who have declined for that day.

Does anyone have any thoughts that may help? Thanks!
