2016 Contacts to autocomplete
Due to a horrible nuclear disaster (aka, I screwed up), my prior installation of Outlook and all related files no longer exist except for the contacts, which can be seen in the current installation of Outlook 2016. I wish to image all of the contacts over to autocomplete. So far I tried the "Go offline and send an email" method, which refused to work for Outlook recognized it was offline, and a piece of software advertised to do so as freeware, but the download looks nothing like the picture and does not have the ability (if you get the feeling I am abbreviating my descriptions out of frustration, you are quite correct).
Is it so beyond MS's imagination that one might wish to take everything from Contacts and throw them into autocomplete? When I go to the area that has the multitude of contact lists (New message, click on the "To:" area, popup address book faculty appears, upper right) lower listings are not inherited by upper and there is no means to do so? Can't copy "Contacts" over into Offline Global Address List??? Geez! With a name like that you would think it might have some modicum of dynamic use and serve a purpose!!!
OK, enough ranting. Can anyone help me? I fear my head is going to explode, and that would make my wife very angry 'cause I wouldn't be around to clean up the mess.
