Outlook office and outlook.com: the sum of contradictions of Microsoft:
Hi all,
To configure Outlook (Office) to connect to an Outlook.com account, you need a third tool from Microsoft (Outlook Connector), which by the way does NOT work properly (errors 0X8D00006....in most cases). By contrast, to configure Outlook office to connect to Gmail accounts, this works smoothly and painlessly and WITHOUT need to any third party tool!
That is; Microsoft is NOT able to make its OWN tools to work each with other (Outlook office with Outlook.com) while Gmail works well with outlook without Connector or any other tool!


Is there more contradiction than this?
To use outlook for outlook.com, you need another tool (while both tool are from Microsoft), while Gmail works fine with Microsoft tool without any other tool!
In other word, since Outlook office and Outlook.com are both from Microsoft, it should be the EASIEST way that Outlook office connects to Outlook.com automatically and straightforwardly without any third connector (like Gmail does)!
Microsoft SHOULD MAKE OUTLOOK office working with an Outlook.com account very easily and WITHOUT need to any other connector! IT SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC (as is the case for Gmail)!
Microsoft is not able to make its OWN tools compatible with each other while Google makes tools for Microsoft programs better than Microsoft for its own programs!

You need to take up your complaints with Microsoft, however you can setup Outlook.com e-mail in Outlook without using the Connector, by using the POP or IMAP settings for Outlook.com - e.g. http://osxdaily.com/2012/08/03/set-u...ktop-mail-app/
