Default configuring outlook with my own domain

Hi I've tried to configure outlook with my own domain and keep on getting the message 'cannot connect to SMPT server or alternatively cannot connect to POP 3 server.

At the moment outlook is configured to my original office365 account which I upgraded in May.
Please can you let me know how to do this.
Many thanks.

Almost certainly it will relate to the port settings. Check that you have the correct port settings as the defaults will be reserved for your internet service provider's own e-mail function. Your e-mail service provider will supply the required settings.

Here is a post I did awhile ago about setting up email accounts in Outlook.
http://www.thetraininglady.com/setup...osoft-outlook/

Make sure you have your username (often your email address), password, incoming and outgoing mail server settings as well as the preferred port numbers for the provider who hosts your domain name.

Let me know if you have further problems or need more assistance.
