I have a strange situation with Outlook 2010 (using Windows 7 HP), whereby dates of birthdays have become corrupt.
I have family birthdays set up as recurring events. I recently noticed that some of them have been corrupted, in that three that occur in December have been changed to different months: one to January and two to April. I became aware of this because the ‘reminder’ for a December birthday appeared yesterday (15th April). I say I use Outlook 2010, but the situation is a bit more complex: I have two older PCs running Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 respectively and I synchronise these regularly with the Outlook 2010 PC, using Code Two Outlook Sync. I also use Kies 3 to synchronise the Outlook 2010 PC with my Samsung Galaxy S4. I don’t know exactly when the corruption occurred, but I have been doing the aforementioned synchronisations for several years without problem. The strange thing is that I have a number of other, annual recurring events and none of them seems to be affected. My concern is that whilst I immediately spot the errors in family birthdays [because I know them], there may be other reminders [e.g. to pay bills] that I’m not so familiar with, and I wouldn’t necessarily spot it if they had become corrupted. Any suggestions as to the cause would be very welcome! |
