Converted back to Outlook 2007 from 2010.. really annoying problems. help?
I just switched back to Microsoft Office 2007 from 2010 due to issues. Now when I converted back, my Outlook ALWAYS displays this message when I open it.
"The mail profile "Outlook" was created with a newer version of Outlook and might contain information that is not compatible with your current Outlook version. If you experience problems with this profile, you can create a new profile. In Windows Control Panel, open mail, then click Show Profiles, and then click add." Now I have tried several things: 1. delete my old profile and RE-make it, although it was working perfectly fine. 2. looked through all of my settings. I CANNOT find a way to turn off this godforsaken message that pops up EVERY FRIGGIN TIME I open Outlook. It drives me nuts, and I would love to find out how to turn this off. PLEASE help. |

I installed Office 2010 and it seemed work just fine for a few days when for no apparent reason, Outlook just stopped receiving email. Click send receive and Outlook appeared to try to receive email but nothing would appear. I could go to account settings, click on one of my email account, click the test option and everything would check-out OK. I could login to my mailbox via a web browser and see the test email in my inbox from the test I ran with Outlook. Click Send Receive and Outlook trys to receive but nothing every comes.
I tried uninstalling Office 2010 and reinstalling Office 2007. Uninstall appeared to go OK. Install appeared to go OK. When I open Outlook, I get the message about the Profile being created by a newer version of Outlook. I just click to go by that. The big problem I have is none of the file associations are working for Office and it seems like every time I receive an email I get a window that pops up saying Wait while Microsoft Office is configured. It gets so bad at times, that I can't get anything done for the windows that keep poping up. I went to Microsoft Support website to see if I could get help but it appears they want $259 for 8 hours of support or $99 for one day. Must be nice to have a business where you screw something up and then charge to fix your screwup. Would appreciate any help I can get... Thanks Ahead of time for your help... Take Care, Rich |
