Default Outlook 2013x64 mixes email sent from live.com and sends it from Gmail

I have Outlook 2013x64 and a *@live.com account and a *@gmail.com accounts linked to it. I sent an email from within Outlook from the *@live.com account and the receiver told me that they received it as if it were sent from my *@gmail.com account. I clearly double checked and I saw that the email I sent out stays in the 'Sent Items' in the @live.com account, but the received clearly received the email as if sent from the @gmail.com account. That is why when the receiver responded, I received their response in Gmail.

Is it possible that Outlook messed that up? I'm guessing that is the case, cos sometimes it messes up things with the folder Outbox in both live and gmail accounts. When I send emails from within Outlook I deliberately choose which account I send them from by choosing the 'From' drop-down menu, part of the New email dialog, and I clearly indicate from which account I want to send the email ... from gmail or from live.com. That said, I have indeed noticed more than once that especially when it is a large email containing images and so on, if I choose to send the email from my LIVE.com account (for example) and then press 'Send' then for a brief moment the email appears in the Outbox of the other account, i.e. the GMAIL.com account. But after it gets sent, the email then reappears in the Sent Items folder in the LIVE account. So that is kinda fine. Just seems weird that it stays in the Outbox of the other account. No idea why it does that. But at least... even if it does it, it still does it in a way that the email stays only temporarily in the Outbox of the other account and then it returns to the Sent Items folder of the correct account. But this time it is different, that is why I'm starting this thread, cos clearly I sent the email from LIVE.com and the receiver received it from my GMAIL.com account!!! Makes no sense whatsoever!

Has that happened to anyone or has anyone have experience with such stuff?
