How to 'Reset' Outlook Contacts?

I'm syncing Outlook with the Kerio Connect server (an Exchange alternative) which then syncs Contacts to the iPhone.

The local Outlook has 619 contacts. The Kerio server has 597, and consequently so does the phone.

Since I had previously synced my Outlook contacts to the iPhone via USB and iTunes, it was suggested that the Kerio problem might require a 'reset of Outlook contacts'.

l've done a Google search which returned several different results so I'm posting here for a couple of ideas?
