Angry Can't open .pst legacy files

I am running Windows 7 Home Edition (W7H), with Outlook 2007 from Microsoft Office 2007. I tried to open some .pst files created by Outlook XP on Windows XP. All I get a "cyclic redundancy check" error box. Is there a fix for this problem?

Please note that my .pst legacies are all in a "Trusted Folder" on W7H, so security-motivated file-open blockage in the Registry doesn't seem to be the issue here.

CRC error is the hardware error of your hard drive's file system. You should run the special tool named checkdisk with error correction option turned on. Your pst files are located at damaged file system segments, so first check your hdd and correct these errors.
