Does it work like as if the Android was a Windows Phone, with email and calendars and contacts and notes?

Does it sync those things with the google versions? Or is it standalone like you have 2 separate calendars and such.

What happens when you install it and sync stuff if any? When you log off and decide to not use it on the Android device, will it "desync" everything and leave it as it was before?
