I am a new owner of a Windows 8.1 Tablet. MS Office is not yet installed but I have Outlook mail which I understand is part of Office and which I have been trying to use (I find it rather unfamiliar compared to other email clients). What I specifically need help with is how to Import Address Books / Contacts. (People?) I cannot find Import anywhere. Can someone advise on this please?

I am still struggling to find how to Import email addresses into Outlook.com mail. I thought I was nearly there when I was given the link below which should take me where I want to go but alas every where I try to use it the response is that the site cannot be found. There must surely be a way to import addresses, how can the email service operate without it. The Migration link is as follows:
https://col430-sec.mail.live.co/mail...x?n=1722442632 I have used Cut and Paste so I have not made a mistake and I have used a variety of Search Engines. Can anybody help with this, please? Clayto |

Outlook 2010 does have a facility to import under File, Open. It offers a variety of formats. If you do a similar check on the application form which you are exporting, you should be able to find a suitable format.

Not sure, on the Windows PC version, it would be on the Top Bar.
Outlook.com on a phone could be quite different. |

There is no 'File' on the Top Bar or anywhere else in my Tablet's (W8.1) Outlook.com.

Thanks for the various postings. I have resolved my problem. I had a look at Windows Live Mail which I had heard of, but for some reason was under the impression it was not much good. The reverse is true, it is the best email program I have seen by far ---- but in particular it has a perfectly clear Import / Export option. My csv Address Book imported into it with ease and furthermore, when I opened Outlook.com the previously empty People pages were populated with my email addresses. So it seems an easy way to import into People is to do it via Windows Live Mail.
