Editing an appointment marked private on a shared calendar that I own
Hi - I'm the owner of a shared calendar in a corporate setting. I'm using Outlook 2007 running on WinXP. I mistakenly entered an appointment on a shared calendar and labeled it as private. Now I cannot open this appointment to change or delete it. I had done this once before, and the IS department was able to delete it. I just found another instance of this; I asked IS to delete it, but when they deleted it, different categories were added to all of the appointments in this calendar. They didn't know why this happened, and restored the calendar. Now the private appointment is back, which I still can't edit, plus all of the added categories are still there .
What's the trick here? Is this a bug in Outlook? I've owned this calendar since 2006. Any ideas? Thank you. Last edited by OverKnight; 11-14-2014 at 07:02 PM. |

Your IS admin may be able to update the sensitivity setting on the appointment to change it to High, Low or Medium setting instead of Private. You may even be able to do this yourself in the list view.

Thank you, Tuph, I'll run this by them.
