Exclamation Calendar is Overshared

CEO's calendar is visible by all users, Windows 7 Pro, 64bit, company domain, Outlook 2010, Exchange server 2013.

Any user can add CEO's calendar to thei rown Outlook by right-clicking Shared Calendar | Add Calendar | From Address Book...

I have checked permissions under Calendar Properties and Calendar | Share... where only the default account and his Admin Asst accounts are listed.

I have checked delegation where on the Admin Asst account is listed.

I'm trying not to create a new profile...

I'm looking for other places to check to understand why any user can open up his calendar and read his appointments. As a side note, does the default account need to be set as Owner for him or can that account be removed?

Thanks

I'm assuming you are checking permissions within Outlook, on the client side for this user??

If that is the case you need to look at the users profile on the server side. I don't have Exchange 2013 installed to check where the exact location would be but it will be a setting on the Exchange server machine for that user if it's not a client side permission.

TrainingLady,

thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I have checked all sources of Permissions and Delegations in Outlook and Exchange. And quadruble-checked again today on the server. I'm using the Exchange Admin Center (EAC) and there are no calendar-specific settings found there.

If I understand what you are saying then set the permission associated with Default to Free/Busy or None, not Owner.

I wondered about that Owner business. Looking at the Outlook | Calendar | Properties | Permissions dialog, you are saying to change his DEFAULT Permission Level to NONE (currently Owner). I just assumed that "DEFAULT" meant "his account" but now that I think about it, that's just be the default that he is granting to all others...? Changing this to NONE stops their view but will not affect his own access, right?

Correct. Currently everybody owns the CEO's calendar.

These links describe how permissions work. https://support.wright.edu/raidermai...ar_Permissions
