Default Outlook can't connect to Exchange server

Hi there.

Problem with Outlook 2013 connecting to an Exchange account.

Outlook now hangs at "loading profile" and eventually I get an error "Outlook can't connect to the Exchange server" and it prompts me to confirm the account. I've tried:
- creating a new profile - this doesn't work
- a different Exchange account - this doesn't work
- when on the same PC but as a different user, Outlook connects no problem.
- I've tried repairing the Office installation
- I've tried un-installing and re-installing the Office installation
- I've removed the Outlook profiles via the registry editor

- I've tried importing the reg keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders from a good Outlook installation
- safe mode
- safe mode with no add-ins

Nothing working! I'm running out of ideas...and this does seem to be a problem others have had (via google!) but one of the above seems to resolve things.

Thanks,
Ed Ludlow
