Outlook 2010 Macro Save as MSG, Choose Destination, set default filename
I am trying to create a macro (that I can assign to a button) in Outlook 2010 that will do the following:
Save the selected message as a .msg file (including attachments) Prompt me to select the save destination Prepopulate a default filename "YYYY-MM-DD HHMM email subject" I found an older post that saves the message as a PDF but I couldn't figure out how to change it to save as a .msg file. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks, Scott |

Hi,
One of my favorite articles on this is at http://www.outlookcode.com/codedetail.aspx?id=1640. BTW, the Attachment Save add-in will save your emails and attachments in MSG format and rename the email with the date and subject. I'm not sure you want to spend any money on it, but it would save you time. |
