Question Importing .pst and backup csv file

I reinstalled Windows Vista and Outlook 2007 on my pc, and when I imported my .pst file, it was restored but without dates, my Inbox folders, and some mail items were missing. I then tried to restore the inbox backup (my alternative) (using MS Outlook backup utility), but nothing happened. I really need my former emails and folders.

What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it?
