Default Changing font

I am working on Outlook 2007, and today I have changed the default font, which initiates when I write new emails, and also when I reply to emails.

Today I have received 2 separate emails from the same person, both appear to be formatted (by him) the same, sent within minutes of eachother.

When I replied to the first email, my text is black (my old colour)

When I reply to the second email, my text is brown, as wanted..

I've tried this with the 2 emails, and something makes the first email send my reply text black, and something on the other email allows my reply text to be brown..???

Help please...
