Message Preview Behaviour in Outlook 2010
I'm a new user of 2010 and am really struggling with the default unintuitive behaviour of message preview and am wondering if there is a way to change it.
I have auto-preview turned on for unread messages. If another message is selected, then an unread message shows expanded - which is auto-preview - great. But if I click on the message, the message closes up - so by clicking on the message I want to look at, I get to see less information than before I clicked on it! That's a pain and unintuitive, but there's more of a problem when you have a conversation with an unread message. When I double click an auto-previewed message, on the first click the auto-preview closes, adn sometimes the second click then hits the message below (because the message list has moved up). It doesn't always happen, but the whole thing has a very strange set up! Is it possible to change this behaviour in anyway? Best option would be stop it altogether - i.e. click on a message showing auto-preview, and it stays with the expanded format. |
