Default can you change department field in phone numbers


Hi
In contacts under phone numbers you can select a field to define a phone number i.e. mobile, home, office.

Can you customise that field ?????????

i.e. edit “mobile” and change to “blackberry” or “orange mobile” or “office mobile” to make for easy identification when you have multiple moblie numbers for one contact .

Hi,

No, you cannot. You can add completely new fields, but even then its not easy to manipulate them into view (unless you use a list view).

I think I would simply enforce as "office lore" that mobile means blackberry and office mobile means orange mobile, etc.

hi thanks for replying. i was wanting how to sync my android mobile phone to the contacts an as the phone has multiple custom fields i was wondering what would happen as i didn't want 2 sync and discover its messed up my phone index
