Unread, Dead?
I just downloaded this mail. It's junk but it should be in the junk folder AND the Unread folder. Perhaps this isn't a good example, but my past experience has been that EVERY piece of mail shows up in Unread. I count on it. Now, Unread ... is dead. How do I fix it?

If you mean the 'Unread Mail' search folder, you'll see that the icon for that is transparent and the name is in italics. That means the folder is inactive. To activate the folder again, click on it and it should be copied to the server. See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831402/en-au

Hi
That's kinda the point. It's inactive and clicking on it does nothing but give me an error message saying "an object could not be found". Eventually, I'd like to know why, but for now I want to have it work like it does on my laptop. Can you help?

The answer to that is on another page linked to the one in my previous post: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823127. See also: http://www.msoutlook.info/question/693

Thanks
I deleted my "Unread Folder" from my Search Folder and recreated it. Now it works fine.
