Default Contact view filter not working

I've modified the canned List view in Contacts to filter my contacts for only those that belong to a certain category. When I apply the view, the little progress bar above the column headers (it only appears when working) churns around and around seemingly trying to generate the view, but nothing ever comes up.

Any idea why? This worked readily in previous versions. Any workarounds?

Two things you can try:

1) Reset the View by going to (from your Outlook Contacts) View...Reset View. Then, try again.
2) Exit Outlook, then restart with the command line switch "/cleanviews". See this article for more help on how to do that: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...001003110.aspx

Thanks. I did both and now I get the dialog below. Anyhoo, I am able to group the List view by Category and that's sufficient for my use.
