Lucy,
For Outlook v2010 you need to go into File > Options. Then select Mail from the options and click the Stationery and Fonts button. You can then use the Font buttons under New mail message to adjust the font colour, size etc of any incoming messages you receive. If you are using a different version of Outlook just let me know which version and I can let you know how to make the change.
