Sent emails end up in both Sent and Draft folders
Outlook 2010, Windows 7
Whenever I send an email I end up with a copy in the Sent folder (which I expect and is normal) and a further copy in the Draft folder (which I don't expect and is not normal). These are emails sent at a sitting and not ones which I had previously kept for later completion, when a copy in the Draft folder is to be expected. I haven't changed anything in my setup but this behaviour just started yesterday. Anyway of stopping it? |

Hi,
Check to see if you have any 3rd part add-ins enabled. Sometimes these add-ins will temporarily save the contents of the email which results in a copy being held in the Drafts folder. To easily test this, start Outlook on the command line with the "/safe" switch. Mike Sperry http://www.SperrySoftware.com Find 37 Outlook add-ins that can make a difference! |

Will check that out - thanks. The problem seems intermittent. I suspct Adonis True Image may be to blame as after it does a backup of Outlook when I load Outlook it behaves as if I have no accounts. I have to cure that by re-booting.
