Default View by date ignoring folders?

Is there a way to view your entire inbox at once, regardless of what folder it is in?

As I get emails, I put them in folders after responding to them if I need to. Sometimes things get lost, and if I could switch to a view showing all of the folders at once, the way it would look if I had never put anything in a folder, that would help me find things I misplaced.
