Default Outlook 2010

I have posted a thread and I coulf not find it. So here I go again.
I am trying add a previously saved pst file to my outlook. I opened the file thru Outlook without any luck. I then tried to import the file. When I opened the import window it listed various types of files except pst and there is no option of going for any other file.
How do I import previously saved PST file?
