Default Jumping to an email sender in table view

In Outlook 2007 I can sort my emails by sender then type the first few characters of the senders name to jump to the first email he/she sent. For example, tio jump to emails received from Michael, I can type MI and the view will jump to the first email sender start with MI.

In Outlook 2010 this shortcut only works for the first character - that is the M. If I type MI the list jumps to the first sender starting with M then to the first sender starting with I.

Is there a way to fix this in Outlook 2010?
