Sending email to distribution list
Hi,
If I open the contacts panel on the left in outlook, it shows me a series of distribution lists, each of which has a number of contacts to whom I want to send an email. How do I send an email to these contacts. I've tried using the help function, but can find nothing in there that matches my query. Thanks |

Apparently, I'm on MS Exchange server, so I don't know if this makes a difference. Otherwise, I have an xl spreadsheet of the contacts' email addresses; is there a way of importing them into the address field of an email, rather than cutting and pasting all 200 of them individually?

Hi
This is an extract from the Help Files which may help you: Import names and addresses into Outlook
In Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003, on the File menu, click Import and Export.

Right-click the Contacts folder, and then click Properties. Click the Outlook Address Book tab to verify that the Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book check box is selected. highlight or click on the distribution list you want to send your e-mail to, then on the tool bar click on the e-mail icon. Outlook should open a new blank e-mail with the To... filed populated with the name of the distribution list.
