I have just reinstalled Outlook 2007. Does anyone know why it will not download mail and what can be be done to correct it?

If I create a new email account, the tests show as fine without errors. The test email is sent but it never reaches Outlook, it sits on the ISP's Mail Server.

I am not 100% sure, but this may be to do with installing Visual Studio and SQL Server 2005 on the same PC .....



What is more mysterious is that I had the same problem on Googlemail and it mysteriously cleared up for no apparent reason. But mail from my ISP, Tiscali cannot be retrieved.

If you are using incoming port 110 (under the Advanced Tab) on your POP settings with Tiscali, just be sure your firewall is not blocking the port.

Your incoming mail should be pop.tiscali.co.uk
Your Outgoing should be smtp.tiscali.co.uk

Hope this is helpful. If it isn't reply with the error message that you get.

After installing and re-installing Zone Alarm, I can now get my mail !!
