Default Outlook 2007 Crashing

We are having an issue with office 2007 crashing. It seems to happen when we upgrade a users PC and use the windows easy transfer that transfers the user NK2 file to the new computer. The user (not all, but about 25%) of users experience outlook crashing when typing an email. We rename the NK2 file to a .old extension (incase we need to access later) and this seems to cure the problem everytime. However, we have some angry users because they have spent 5-10 years building that NK2 file and rely on it heavily. Is there another work around to outlook crashing other than deleting/renaming the Nk2 file? Thanks.
