Hi-
Hopefully I can explain this so it makes sense. My organization uses MS Outlook for corporate email using either Outlook 2007 or 2010. I typically send out recurring calendar meeting invites that includes a Distribution List (DL) as an attendee. The DL's periodically get updated with new members, and I want to know if Outlook is dynamic and sends out the meeting invite to new members added to a DL after the initial meeting is sent out? As far as I am aware Outlook and MS Exchange server do not function this way, and the meeting organizer would have to send a meeting update in order to "refresh" the new list of users part of the DL. This isnt usually a problem with non-recurring meetings, but with recurring meetings where a DL is an attendee this can get annoying having to periodically send out meeting updates. |

Why not create a test DL and trial whether this works in the way you want?
Alternatively, send the meeting minutes out in an email (not the invite) to the DL list... that way it's always up-to-date. Plus meeting minutes should be in a controlled document, not an email/invite - it looks messy. |

I have the same (unanswered) question.
I run a distribution list and a meeting series. If I send the invite out to the DL in January, and the meeting is scheduled for March, but then I add new members to the DL in February, how do I update the people added in February but not those that were already on the list in January? |
