Outlook Meeting Invite Distribution List Attendee updates
Hi-
Hopefully I can explain this so it makes sense. My organization uses MS Outlook for corporate email using either Outlook 2007 or 2010. I typically send out recurring calendar meeting invites that includes a Distribution List (DL) as an attendee. The DL's periodically get updated with new members, and I want to know if Outlook is dynamic and sends out the meeting invite to new members added to a DL after the initial meeting is sent out? As far as I am aware Outlook and MS Exchange server do not function this way, and the meeting organizer would have to send a meeting update in order to "refresh" the new list of users part of the DL. This isnt usually a problem with non-recurring meetings, but with recurring meetings where a DL is an attendee this can get annoying having to periodically send out meeting updates.
